Global Initiative on Gender Responsiveness and Development (GIGRAD) is a non-governmental and non-for- profit organization focused on the advocacy for inclusivity of parallel gender participation without any form of segregation, bias or marginalization in respect to achieving gender balance and equality in the society.
GIGRAD is focused on the mission to enlighten the masses of their civil responsibilities, promote sound democratic knowledge, elements and institutions that revolve around governance.
The organization is concerned in nurturing and facilitating knowledge exchange among key stakeholders in the overall interest of good governance and best practices in the public domain.
GIGRAD can overtime be reckoned with as a reputable organization that act as positive agent of socialization and change by collaborating, interfacing and partnering with relevant bodies for purpose of achieving every set goal and objective at every and any given time.
- LEGAL STATUS
GIGRAD is an initiative registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria as established under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 1, 1990. The organization is situated at 179, Igbosere road, Lagos, Nigeria, has been registered since May 10,2017 as the “Registered Trustees of Global Initiative on Gender Responsiveness and Development”.

Our vision as an organization is to advocate and build a viable society that will be void of any form of social, political, economic and gender marginalization within Nigeria.

Our mission is to break the chain of gender marginalization and the theory sterotypism in our social and political world.
1. Gigrad is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation premised on advocacy for inclusivity of parallel gender participation without any form of segregation, bias or marginalisation in respect to achieving gender balance and equality in the society.
3. On 6th March, 2024, Gigrad in conjunction with the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission organized a symposium on voters right and education for senior secondary school students (UNILAG International School). The programme is focused on sensitising and educating the students on their civic rights to vote and be voted for as a citizen of Nigeria, especially as a young citizen.
4. Gigrad is co founded by Olatunji Azeez and Oguntola Ayobami. The two founders are visionaries and advocate for good governance and leadership, we also believe in the ultimate human rights doctrines. The zeal to prosper in the chasing of a better environment for all and sundry, brought about the advent of Gigrad which tend to serve as the voice for the voiceless, advocate for the masses on enjoyment of good governance and dividend of democracy in all tiers of Government within the Nigeria. The Organisational operational scope span through
i. advocacy for the girl child liberty
ii. advocacy for inclusivity of marginalized groups in the society such as the People Living with Disabilities (PWDs), women and youths.
iii. advocacy for improved efforts to minimize out of school children.
